VICTORVILLE, Calif. — A woman suspected of extortion was arrested Monday after attempting to sell a lost cell phone back to its owner for $100.
Delfina Gutierrez, 46, arranged to meet the suspect and owner of the phone in a gas station parking lot, according to The Sun.
Authorities—who had been tipped off by the suspect—set up surveillance at the scene and arrested Guiterrez when she arrived. Upon arrest, officers found prescription drugs that did not belong to her.
Her bail was set at $35,000.
