FLORENCE, Ala. — A photo of a University of North Alabama officer who laid on the ground while a skateboarder ollied over him has gone viral, WHNT reported.
The photo posted on Facebook is captioned, “New complete deck: $182.00. Gas to go boarding: $10.00. Convincing UNA police to lay down and let me Ollie over: Priceless.”
The incident occurred Nov. 22 when skateboarders were having a photo session for the university’s newspaper. When the patrol car rolled up, the skaters thought they were being too loud, Katlyn Shannon told WHNT.
Instead the officer joined in to learn the basics of boarding.
The posts also thank the University of North Alabama Police Department for their selfless service.
Both posts have a total of over 300 likes.
WHNT reported there are no signs restricting skateboarding in the university parking deck.
