ALBANY — State police are searching for an 18-year-old man they’d like to question one day after a state trooper was stabbed at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
Police are looking for 18-year-old Eric Green. His current address is unknown, but authorities say he has ties to the Grand Street area.
Trooper Rodney Smith was stabbed in the neck and face Sunday afternoon in the concourse of the state government complex. Police say the suspect told Smith he was new in town and didn’t know anyone, then pulled a knife and attacked the trooper.
