Carrying a covert cuff key

In today’s P1 tactical tip, a member shares a thought about a place to store a hidden cuff key that will likey go unnoticed and give you an extra edge should you ever find yourself handcuffed by a criminal.

As a patrol supervisor for Military Police I have always instructed my soldiers to keep an extra handcuff key on their dog tag chains. If an off duty officer were to keep an extra cuff key on a necklace that doesn’t appear to be of much value, so as not to gain the attention of any unwanted person, it would give the officer an extra advantage.
