Interview positioning reminder

Sometimes we forget or become lax with our tactics when approaching and interviewing subjects, victims, and offenders. We cannot let the day-to-day operations of our positions become routine.

It is always a good idea to interview all subjects with your weapon side bladed away from the subject. Always keep both of your hands above your waist in a rested position, which allows for quicker hand-to-hand defense and weapons deployment.

Remember, whether it be a traffic stop, or just a see subject-type call, a victim can be just as much of a threat as an offender. Be safe and take care of you.
