LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police shot and killed a robbery suspect after authorities say he brandished a gun while running from a car east of downtown Las Vegas.
The man’s name was not immediately made public after the 6 p.m. shooting last night several blocks east of downtown Las Vegas.
A woman in the car was arrested.
There’s no indication anyone was hurt in the armed robbery about 5:40 p.m. at a credit union on Flamingo Road near Pecos Road.
It was the 10th time this year Las Vegas police have shot someone.
Police did not say how many shots were fired.
A department deputy chief says he doesn’t think the man shot at the officer.
The name of the officer hasn’t been released. He’s on paid leave pending an investigation, like in all police shooting cases.
