PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A man wearing only boxer shorts was TASERed after backing into a patrol car and charging at an officer.

Sgt. M. Rosenbloom was patrolling when he approached what he thought was a crash scene, WFLA reported. The video shows a truck, driven by Joseph Pemberton, back up directly into Rosenbloom’s patrol car. Pemberton, only in boxers, exits his truck and stands in the middle of the street. The truck, which contained four children, proceeds into a ditch.

Rosenbloom deployed his TASER when Pemberton, 41, charged at him while he was attempting to detain him.

When asked why he struck the deputy’s car, Pemberton said he had “a revelation” and “thought nuclear bombs were coming.”

Pemberton was treated at a local hospital for TASER punctures and road abrasions. He is charged with aggravated battery on an officer and child neglect.
