Video: Suspect surrenders after leading Calif. police on big rig pursuit

The driver of a stolen 18-wheeler surrendered after a three-hour pursuit in Southern California

CALIFORNIA — Police were led on a three-hour pursuit by a stolen big rig in Southern California Tuesday.

According to KABC, the pursuit started at 10:30 a.m. in Apple Valley, California, and went through surrounding areas.

While there is still no word what was in the semi, KABC reports the name on the side of the truck “ACT Enviro” is for a company that transports hazardous materials.

The TV station also reports the driver reportedly told police “he was not armed and that he doesn’t want to go back to jail.”

The suspect surrendered without incident.
