Today, some instructors are teaching officers basic firearm techniques and are qualifying these officers using only basic techniques. I have been shooting competitively for over three years and my gun handling skills and accuracy have increased tremendously. Ever since we started incorporating some of these techniques into our officers’ training and qualifications, proficency has increased dramatically. Instructors: start teaching street shooting techniques because that’s where it all happens.
