Texas PD parodies ‘Love Actually’ in new safety video

FORT WORTH, Texas — A north Texas public safety department is getting attention for its “Love Actually” inspired safety video.

On Tuesday, the Southlake Department of Public Safety tweeted a video that reminded drivers to stay safe this holiday using scenes from the movie “Love Actually.”

The video shows Keira Knightley’s character answering the door to a Southlake police officer. The officer shows her written messages that remind viewers to drive safe and sober this holiday season.

At one point, the officer even reprimands Knightley for laughing after he reminds her to drive the speed limit on a busy road.

The video was viewed more than 8,500 times on Twitter by 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
