GRAY, La. — A 15-year-old boy in Terrebone Parish is facing criminal charges after authorities say he used a mobile app to go on a virtual mass shooting at his high school.

Authorities arrested the teen, a student at H.L. Bourgeois High school, after he posted a video of the game to make it appear that he was gunning down his classmates.

The app is called “The Real Strike” and simulates a first person shooter game, except the battleground is real life. The child, whose name is not being released, said he did it to get back at the students, but did not want to hurt anyone. The boy is charged with terrorizing and interference with the operation of a school.
