A PD spokesperson said, ‘We’re not going to use resources to track him down’

GILBERT, Ariz. - A teenager who sent a video of himself spitting on a police cruiser may have lucked out of trouble this time.

The Gilbert Police Department has announced it will not charge the boy, who on Wednesday sent a very ill-advised tweet to the PD’s Twitter account.

In the video, the boy walks up to one of the department’s SUV’s and spits onto it. The boy, who has since deleted his Twitter account, then tweeted the video to the Gilbert PD’s Twitter account. The department responded: “Andrew, thanks for the video with the evidence against you! #americasdumbestcriminals”

“It was a two second response. We’re not going to use resources to track him down [for an arrest],” Sgt. Sanger told ABC 15.
