LAS VEGAS -- At the Consumer Electronics Show, Taser is introducing a new version of its civilian stun gun.
The C-Two looks more like a cell phone and comes in a variety of colors, including metallic pink. The first civilian model was introduced in 2004.
The new gun is designed to make it easier for users to comply with state laws. The C-Two can’t be activated until the buyer completes a process known as SureCheck, an online background check that can be done in about a minute.
Chairman Tom Smith says the goal is to create safer personal protection alternatives.
The C-Two sells for around 300-dollars.
