CORONA, Calif. —The Corona Police Department shared body camera footage showing the rescue of an infant who was left inside a vehicle in 110-degree heat.
According to the department, officers arrived on the scene and found the child locked in the car with all the windows rolled up. The officers saw the baby was in distress and decided to breach the window.
Body camera footage shows an officer using a baton to break through the driver’s side window and unlock the car, entering it to lift the baby out.
The Corona Fire Department then measured the vehicle’s temperature at 110 degrees, according to the police department.
