As a follow-up to an earlier tip about signaling fellow officers to let them know what you’re about to do (Read the tip), make sure to periodically change your signs/signals for arrest, or for that matter anything.
We deal with the same general group of people over and over. Much like our 10 codes, suspects figure out our “tells.” Jail is just like our role calls, a lot of information is shared. The previous tip is a good reminder to communicate/cooperate with other officers. Remember, we’re the only friends we have out there.
