To increase your visibility during low-light roadside activites, put reflective tape, the kind you see on tractor trailers, on the inside of your trunk lid and on the driver’s side door jamb. This way when your door is open at night or if you’re getting something from your trunk and the light bar is obscure from view, the tape will reflect to the traffic approaching from the rear.
