CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Two officers went above and beyond for an 80-year-old man who lost his mode of transportation.

Cape Coral Police field training officer Ken Cody and officer trainee Guang Song gifted an elderly man a new bike after they learned his bike had been stolen, Western Journal reports.

When the man, Robert, met the officers on Feb. 18, he told them that his bike was his only mode of transportation.

“After taking the report, both officers couldn’t just allow the victim to be without any way to get around,” the Cape Coral Police Department said in a Facebook post.

The officers drove to the nearest Walmart and bought Robert a new bike so he could run errands while police searched for his stolen one.

They also gifted Robert with a bike lock to help secure his new bike.

“You guys are the greatest in the world,” Robert can be heard saying in the video. “God can not bless you enough. I’m almost crying. God bless you.”
