1. Where did your company name originate from?
The company’s core technology is based on a tricycle concept with a unique design and functionality. “Trike” is the short word for tricycle. We wrote it with double “K” to be bold. The product became the name.

2. What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
The opportunity to bring to market a revolutionary vehicle design with superior function and performance compared to existing options. Anticipates the personal electric vehicle revolution ahead of us.

3. What is your signature product and how does it work?
The TRIKKE Defender is our main product line, engineered for the professional market with rugged construction for heavy-duty continuous use. The POSITRON is the most advanced model we offer, reserved for use by law enforcement.

4. Why do you believe your products are essential to the police community?
Efficient personal mobility improves tactical patrol, presence, coverage and community engagement. It’s essential for professional law enforcement operation. The new generation of police officers are beginning to understand the many advantages and applications of small electric vehicles as part of their toolbox, in addition to the conventional patrol cars or bicycles.

5. What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
Pioneering a new concept within a traditional market. Most agencies don’t have experience with such small vehicles and still can’t see the full potential and scope of applications. Education and training have been our main challenge and reward. After some time using the vehicles, officers are sold, embracing and expanding the program.

6. What makes your company unique?
Our company is focused exclusively in making personal vehicles for the professional market. We develop, design and manufacture our own vehicles here in the U.S., based on the constant feedback loop with our clients. We only sell directly to maintain a close relationship with our partners. This way we can offer exceptional support and training, directly from the factory.

7. What do your customers like best about you and your products?
The ease of use, nimble and practical performance of the vehicle. The close relationship with the factory, where they can call our CEO directly to ask questions, get training and see their inputs being translated into constant improvements to the product.

8. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder community?
Knowing that our products are contributing to improve the challenging job of community policing, with a less threatening presence that invites a more positive interaction with the public. Also, the adoption of cleaner vehicles and minimalistic solutions have lasting benefits for the environment. Lastly, the smiles seen on the faces of the officer and the people who they serve.

9. Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share about you or your company?
Originally, our vehicles were conceived for the consumer market for fun and fitness. The course change and adoption by the professional market and, mainly law enforcement, was a great (and somehow unexpected) surprise. Currently, it represents 100% of our business.

10. What’s next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
We keep full throttle on product development. We are a technology company. Extensive work has been done to develop more utility and supplement mobility, so we are in advanced phase of development of a larger, more powerful and faster vehicle, with true off-road capability, which will expand the applications toward park rangers, border patrol, beach patrol and military. A lot of work has been done with utilitarian capability, so we are about to make available add-ons for transport of cargo with a variety of trailers and cargo boxes.
