LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police Department released the full surveillance video Wednesday that shows the extent of the flagpole incident that resulted in a fatal police shooting, The Courier-Journal Reports.
The video is a 27-minute long compilation of several cameras near where Deng Manyoun was shot by Officer Nathan Blanford on Saturday after charging at him with a flagpole.
It shows Manyoun appearing to assault a woman before the officer arrives, as well as the full confrontation between the officer and the suspect.
The release comes after members of the local community questioned the officer’s use of force in the incident.
Police officials continue to investigate the shooting.
