Using peripheral vision for Motor Officer safety

As Motor Officers, we need to train our eyes to use more of our peripheral vision to scan, and less of our direct vision. By retraining our eye movement to conduct head checks in the following manner, we can avoid accidents. When making head checks, turn our head 90 degrees left or right, (no further) and let our eyes see 180 degrees. In this manner we will never miss what’s in front of us and still we can observe what’s behind us and we never miss those blind spots.
