Chief Clark Staten is the founder and Executive Director of the Emergency Response & Research Institute (ERRI) in Chicago. He is a US Army veteran and former police officer and in 1995, after 20 years of service, he retired as an Assistant Chief Paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department. Chief Clark is a frequent lecturer on the tactics and political implications of domestic and international terrorism, officer survival, hazardous materials, chem/bio consequence management, media relations, Amanagement and motivation methods, productivity, mass casualty/disaster management, security planning and numerous other topics.

Chief Staten is a certified DoD Domestic Preparedness Instructor-Trainer and has instructed the US Army, US Air Force, NATO and a number of police, fire and EMS agencies nationwide. In 1998, Chief staten was appointed to be the Emergency Management Advisor to the International Association of Counter-Terrorism and Security Professionals and in 1999 he received the IACSP National Leadership Award. In March, 2000 Staten was named to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Terrorism Task Force. He has presented at more than 160 conferences worldwide and had appeared on virtually every major TV network and in the nation’s top print publications to discuss terrorism and other emergency issues.

Part-time police officer Chris Cerino is most recognized as the competitor that came in 2nd place in both Top Shot season 1 and Top Shot All Stars. He is currently the field host of Gun Talk TV, Guns and Gear and a trainer on The First Person Defender series on Gun Talk’s YouTube page. He is an internationally known firearms instructor who has been training law enforcement officers, military operators and civilians for more than 18 years. He has worked as Peace Officer in a variety of positions from municipal and county to state and federal agencies spanning 23 years. Chris continues to instruct through his company Chris Cerino Training Group at the national and international level. A published writer on the topics of firearms training and instruction he continually pursues validation of his skills and the skills he teaches by competing in three gun, precision rifle matches and NRA action pistol matches across the country.

Chuck Joyner was employed by the CIA from 1983 to 1987, a Special Agent with the FBI from 1987 until his retirement in October 2011, and is currently a reserve police officer in Texas. During his career, Chuck worked Violent Crimes & Major Offenders Program, gang task force and training. He was a SWAT team operator, sniper and later served as the SWAT Commander. He has provided firearms, defensive tactics, chemical agent and tactical training to thousands of law enforcement officers and military personnel. Chuck has lectured internationally and throughout the U.S. on myriad law enforcement topics.

Chuck Soltys is a 23-year law enforcement veteran. He is currently a federal agent and Tactical Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). He has been assigned to specialized enforcement groups as well as serving three tours of duty on a jungle operations team in South and Central America. Chuck holds numerous instructor certifications and has instructed extensively in the United States as well as in South America, Central America, South Africa, and Europe.
