Book Review: Weapons of the Navy SEALs

Title: Weapons of the Navy SEALs

Author: Kevin Dockery

At once an interesting and enjoyable read. Kevin has taken the mundane blah-blah-blah of writing about weapons used by Navy SEALs and has turned it into an exciting read. He has included numerous stories from those who were there, and what they were doing. Which at once takes the reader to Vietnam, Kuwait or Panama depending on the mission the SEALs were assigned to.

While learning about weapons used in those locations. Filled with photographs and descriptions.

From true stories of why specific ammunition was devised, and developed. To why and where specific developments and how they improved the operational capability of the SEAL themselves came about. Kevin’s incredible story-craft takes us into the realm of the Weapons of the Navy SEALs. It’s always easier to read a story, than a school-textbook. Kevin’s story-telling is absolutely top-drawer.

Kevin has become a good friend of mine over the past several years and I am proud to know that Kevin has continued to do what he loves. Write about Weapons and SEALs. Kevin’s knowledge of and historical correctness relating to SEAL lore and fact is unmatched. Bo Bosiljevac retired Navy SEAL former Commanding Officer SEAL Team 4, once said to me, “Chief, I always have time for Kevin Dockery.” I too always have time for Kevin and anxiously await his next book.

Anybody who is a Military Historian or true follower of Navy SEAL material, will enjoy this immense book Kevin has recently written.
