PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — This story involves a DUI, a K-9, a wreck, and a half-naked woman. We’ll start with this snippet from the New York Post:
“A boozed-up woman stripped down to her bra and panties and took off into the woods after a motor-vehicle crash in Port St. Lucie, Fla., cops said.
Angela Ferranti, 25, allegedly told cops she wanted to “conceal her scent” from a police dog.
But a four-legged K-9 cop - with the very cool name Kilo - eventually sniffed out Ferranti, and she was charged with DUI.”
The incident started around 10:45 p.m. on March 31 after a crash was reported. Investigators were told that two people fled the scene. They followed a trail of sandals and a pair of shorts into a wooded area where Kilo located the scantily-clad Ferranti.
“She was driving northbound ... and her boyfriend, who is on probation, was paranoid that the police were following them and grabbed the steering wheel and she hit the median,” according to an affidavit.
Fearing they’d get in trouble, Ferranti began shedding her clothes.
She was eventually charged with a DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, because they found a pipe with marijuana residue in the Buick, according to TCPalm.com.
