CLINTON — The luck of the Irish was not with the occupants of the yellow stucco house at Pine Street and New Harbor Road this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The house was struck by cars twice — on Friday night and on Saturday night — by drivers who are charged with drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

The first crash was reported at 10:24 p.m. Friday. Nathaniel J. Dilling, 21, of 176 Chace Hill Road, Sterling, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, a marked lanes violation, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, a car driven by Sharon A. Kilcoyne, 52, of 5 Rogers Field Way, which is nearby, slammed into the house. Police said Ms. Kilcoyne fled on foot. She was arrested and faces the same charges as Mr. Dilling.

A group of concrete barriers meant to protect the house lay strewn about the property yesterday, along with wiring and electrical boxes. Nobody answered the door.

Police said one of the crashes shattered a metal heating radiator in the house, but there were no injuries reported.
