Weapons placement on your duty belt

I know many officers arrange the equipment on their duty rigs to “comfort mode”. But, I have seen during training that one issue needs to be resolved. I noticed officers were carrying their chemical agents on the same side as their firearm. I gave a scenario where chemical agents were used at first, but the scenario warranted the use of deadly force. I was not surprised when officers had to drop their can of Top Cop and go to their firearm.

This can be a problem if the offender gets the can of pepper spray and uses it on the officer. A simple solution is to place chemical agents on the opposite side of the firearm so you can have both weapons readily accessible at all times.
