SIOUX CITY, Iowa — An armed suspect wounded a Sioux City officer before shooting himself inside an apartment, The Courier reported.
The Feb. 7 shooting occurred as police investigated a recent string of robberies that led them to the apartment.

Mothershed was arrested and is in police custody.
The officer, whose identity had not been released, was sent to a hospital and released.
