CLEVELAND — Body cam footage shows a Cleveland officer saving a wounded teen’s life.
WKYC reports that on Jan. 9, Cleveland police responded to a call about a 19-year-old who collapsed on a homeowner’s front porch. When officers arrived, the teen barely spoke English, but it was clear that he had been shot in the stomach.
An unidentified officer wasted no time to administer first aid. But when EMS didn’t arrive for some time, the officer got permission to take the teen to the hospital himself. Doctors were able to save him.
The young man was reportedly driving when an SUV blocked him and someone inside fired at him. No arrests have been made and no motive behind the shooting is known.
