Johnson reportedly asked police for a smoke break, so they moved his handcuffs to the front to allow him to smoke the cigarette. He fled shortly after.
“The officer was being nice and allowing him to smoke a cigarette,” Police Chief Todd Foreman said. “As he finished the cigarette, he threw the cigarette down and ran on-foot from us and was able to flee the officers and get away from the officers.”
Johnson no longer has facial hair, as shown in his mugshot, and is wearing a shirt with three skulls on it. Police ask the public to call 911 if they see Johnson.
