WEST COVINA, Calif. — A man was arrested after he threatened people inside the West Covina Police Station and hit the windows with a bat Monday.
KABC reported that Christopher Rivas, 28, approached the station and began “striking the large glass windows” with a bat.
The citizens inside took cover as an officer outside discovered what was going on.
In the video, the officer is seen tackling Rivas from behind and taking him into custody with the help of backup.
Rivas suffered minor injuries. He is charged with alleged assault with a deadly weapon and resisting an officer, according to KABC. No one else was injured and the windows did not suffer damage.
