CONYERS, Ga. — Police in Conyers, Georgia released dash-cam footage of a pursuit that ended with a foot chase and shots fired.
The chase began last Wednesday, according to CBS Atlanta, when Cepeda Broughton robbed a Georgia’s Own Credit Union. Officers took chase as he sped off.
Two cruisers captured the video, which shows the SUV bobbing and weaving through traffic on slick, rain-soaked roads.
One camera shows the vehicle plowing over a curb and exiting the credit union’s parking lot. After that, he rams two cruisers while merging into traffic.
When the SUV finally spins out in the parking lot of an Auto Zone, the passenger exits his vehicle and turns toward officers with a gun in his hand, according to Conyers Lt. Jackie Dunn.
That’s when officers opened fire. Although none of the shots hit Cepeda, he was detained and is now in FBI custody.
