RENO, Nev. — It's not very often that a driver under the influence ends up crashing into a fence at a sheriff's office.
But that's exactly what happened at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff's office said on Monday, a drunk driver failed to maintain his lane. The outcome ended with the driver hitting a fence outside the sheriff's office.
He "was kind enough to make us a new access gate to our motor pool," the sheriff's office said on Facebook.
The driver ran from the scene, but after a quick search, he was found and taken into custody. He was charged with a DUI.
"Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident which serves as a reminder to please designate a driver or hire a ride service should you decide to indulge," the sheriff's office said.
