“I’m so in love with you that I will risk killing you and your family on this highway.”
As residents waited in a standstill on Houston’s I-45 on Sunday, most probably thought an accident had occurred. But that was not the case. The traffic was caused by a young man’s ill-conceived romantic gesture.
The man, Vidal Valladares Navas, said his friends and family, who were following closely behind, jumped out of their cars and stopped traffic for about 35 seconds while he rushed his girlfriend, Michelle Wycoff, onto the highway to pop the question.
Apparently, she said ‘yes’, but you couldn’t hear it in the video – on account of the blaring horns from the annoyed people in traffic.
