National First Responders Day isn’t a major shopping holiday for others, but for first responders, it can be a time to accept some thanks in the form of discounts.

Some stores or restaurants offer reduced-price options for first responders, while others go all out and make their products or services free.

Here’s a list of how some national companies are recognizing First Responders Day. If you know of additional offerings, let us know and we’ll add them to the list.

Lowe’s is offering $10 off a qualifying purchase worth at least $75, redeemable from Oct. 21 through Oct. 28, on Lowes.com/FirstResponders.

At Macaroni Grill, firefighters, police officers, EMS providers and hospital medical staffers can get a free order of ricotta meatballs and spaghetti. Dine-in only.
