WASHINGTON, D.C. — If your organization has programs designed to improve officer safety or wellness, then the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) wants to hear from you.

NLEOMF is currently seeing applications for its 2023 National Officer Safety and Wellness Awards, part of the organization’s Destination Zero program that works to improve the health and safety of law enforcement officers across the country. Created in 2014, the objective of the awards program is to drive the number of line-of-duty law enforcement deaths down to the only acceptable number: zero.

Each year, awards are presented to officer safety and officer wellness programs that proactively engage employees in initiatives that increase overall officer wellness and/or reduce line-of-duty injuries or deaths. Destination Zero is seeking full details on such programs including copies of posters, policies, toolkits and any data that shows the success of your plan.

Winning agencies with outstanding programs will be acknowledged at an award ceremony during National Police Weekend in Washington, D.C. next fall.

Click here to enter your agency. The submission deadline is January 31, 2023. For questions about the Destination Zero awards program, email lcecchettini@nleomf.org.
