BALTIMORE — A Baltimore police officer was wounded and a suspect was killed Monday morning in an exchange of gunfire.
According to WJZ, the officer was working an undercover operation in an unmarked police car when a man opened fire into the vehicle. The officer returned fire, killing the suspect. The officer, who wasn’t publicly named Monday, was shot in the upper leg and is expected to recover.

In a press conference Monday, Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said the suspect was struck multiple times and died at the scene.
Harrison didn’t reveal a possible motive in the shooting.
