MIAMI — The Miami-Dade Police Department has released body camera footage showing a confrontation with a man who fired multiple shots from a rifle into the air that led to an officer involved shooting, according to a State Attorney Investigation report.

Police responded to an emergency call on July 7 where witnesses reported the man had fired multiple rounds near an apartment building, according to the report. Officers responding to the scene saw the man, who was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, holding what appeared to be a rifle.
