SAN FRANCISCO — A San Francisco police officer saved a man’s life Tuesday night when he performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him at a sporting event hosted by Warriors’ star Stephen Curry, officials said.
The event, held at Kezar Pavilion, was a free head-to-head game between high school basketball players hosted by Curry and his brother, Seth, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, according to event materials.
San Francisco Police Officer Robert Fung spotted a 66-year-old man in distress in the audience and rushed to his side, noticing that the man had lost consciousness and stopped breathing, according to police.
Fung immediately called the fire department for medical help and began CPR on the man until paramedics arrived.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he is now in stable condition, according to police.
