GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A school resource officer is being hailed a hero for saving a life last week after just two weeks on the job.

According to CBS 46, Officer Zakia Williams was driving home from work when a distressed couple flagged her down.

The couple began screaming that their three-week-old baby wasn’t breathing.

Body camera video shows Williams placed the baby on her knee and began CPR. After a few moments, the baby started to cry.

“When she started crying, I immediately felt relief,” Williams told CBS 46. “This is the first time I’ve ever saved a person.”

Medics arrived soon after and the family took the baby to a hospital.
