AUSTIN, Texas — A controversial new billboard has appeared along one of the busiest stretches of Texas highway.
The billboard reads, “Undocumented immigrant? Before you get deported, get a sugar daddy.” The advertisement is for a website where intimacy is exchanged for money. .
An undercover sergeant with the Austin Police Department’s human trafficking unit told CBS5 the advertisement is dangerous and promotes human trafficking.
“These young ladies, maybe they haven’t been in America that long and they don’t know how it goes,” the sergeant told the station. “Seeing that on the billboards and going ‘hey, maybe that’s something I ought to look at trying to do.’ The next thing you know, they’re in a world they can’t get out of.”

”There’s no telling how far this could go,” the officer said.
