BALTIMORE — A staff member was shot at Frederick Douglass High School on Friday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
According to police, a 25-year-old entered the school around noon and shot a 56-year-old hall monitor. He’s in serious but stable condition.
“The shooter is in custody and students are safe,” said schools spokeswoman Anne Fullerton.
No students were involved in the incident. The school dismissed at 1:15 p.m. “to enable the police investigation,” according to the school system.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted he was “closely monitoring” the situation.
