  • Jeremy Stafford is a Police Officer with the LAPD — on the job for more than 12 years — and has worked as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics Officer, and a Field Training Officer. Stafford has also worked undercover in a specialized unit within the LAPD’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau for several years and is currently assigned as a Senior Firearms Instructor at the Police Academy. Two of the major projects that Stafford has recently spearheaded include our MACTAC (Multiple Attack Counter Terrorism Action Capability) course, which he helped write, and the 2010 Firearms Delivery Plan, which radically changes the way that LAPD’s firearms program is delivered from recruit training to instructor certification.

Stafford spent 13 1/2 years in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve, and was deployed all over the world in support of the Global War on Terror, including a combat tour in Iraq, where heearned a Bronze Star with a Combat “V” for valor. Stafford also completed several tours to Southeast Asia as a Counter-Terrorism liaison, and a tour in the horn of Africa as an advisor. Toward the end of his tour in Iraq, Stafford was assigned to help rebuild the Baghdad Police Department, where he helped develop the first joint USMC-Iraqi Police patrol program. Stafford and his team were featured in POLICE Magazine as well as on CNN, FOX News, and Good Morning America.

Stafford is Lead Instructor at Simi Valley Krav Maga, and is also a certified Krav Maga Force Training Division Instructor and a certified train the trainer. I recently certified several LAPD SWAT officers and Tactics instructors as Krav Maga Force Training Instructors, a first for the LAPD.
