The California Highway Patrol has an unusual mystery to solve.
How did a 300-pound sea lion end up on the trunk of a patrol car near Fresno? You might say this case looks a bit ‘fishy’.
“Chippy” didn’t seem too concerned about where he was. He was “lion” down on the job.
The highway patrol has no idea how Chippy ended up on the back of one of their cars. Fresno is pretty far inland and sea lions typically hang out on the shoreline.
Some suspect it may have been a college fraternity prank.
After some time, animal rescue crews were brought in to take the sea lion to a safer location to sun himself.
