DENTON, Texas — A bull avoided capture for several hours before deputies with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office helped wrangle it back home, KDFW reports.
The Denton Police Department said they received calls about a cow walking alone. It ended up being a bull that escaped from its owners.
To help capture the bull, police called Denton Animal Services and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office to help officers get the bull into a trailer.
Dash cam video shows officers using a cruiser to help keep the bull in a confined area while they attempted to capture it.
The bull was not helpful with attempts to get into the trailer and was “very agitated” with officers, police said.
The sheriff’s office called a veterinarian to come to the scene. The vet used a tranquilizer dart on the bull.
The bull was safely loaded into the trailer and returned to his owner.
