EDGEWOOD, Md. — Police say a man suffered a fatal heart attack as he was robbing a grocery store in Maryland.
Cristie A. Kahler is a spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. She said police who responded to a call of an armed robbery at an Aldi supermarket Monday night in Edgewood, Maryland, found 52-year-old Wayne Clark lying face down on the floor inside the store. She said witnesses said Clark had tried to rob the store at gunpoint, and that deputies found a handgun under his body.
Police tried to revive him, but he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
