MEMPHIS — Officers who pulled over a truck with “Meth Lab” written on the back found, sure enough, ingredients for making meth inside.
The words may have been a tip-off, but police originally stopped the Ford truck last week for having antique-issued plates that limit permissible driving times to weekends and special occasions, WMC reported. The driver, 43, held a suspended license and was on probation for manufacturing of meth.
Officers conducted a primary search of the vehicle that revealed a “Shake N Bake” plastic bottle commonly used in rolling meth labs, according to the station. When they moved the suspect into the back of their squad car, another search turned up more materials for meth underneath the seat.
The suspect faces charges of meth manufacturing and several traffic violations.
