LOS ANGELES — An hour-long low-speed pursuit that began as a suspected DUI case ended when a pedestrian walked in front of the fleeing vehicle, forcing it to stop.

The driver of a black Mustang convertible led at least three police vehicles down a long stretch of Ventura Boulevard Friday afternoon after refusing to pull over after officer’s suspected the driver was drunk, according to CNN.

A pedestrian then stepped into the street, walking from lane to lane to prevent the driver from getting around him.

The driver got out of the car, and put his hands in the air, and the pedestrian clenched the suspect by his shirt and walked him over to a police cruiser, pressing him onto the hood.

Three officers then stepped in, arresting the driver and also taking the pedestrian into custody to ask him some questions.
