During each shift, remind yourself of the following three points that focus on maintaining the right survival mindset before and during an attack--deemed the “Golden Rules of Confrontation Psychology” — that were shared during a national training conference:
1. Step one is acceptance: You CAN be attacked. Remember that and always act accordingly.
2. Get challenged: If you are attacked, be immediately prepared to wholeheartedly accept the challenge and fight back with everything you’ve got!
3. Don’t stop thinking: In a fight, always be looking for your next move. Don’t stand still waiting to see if a strike worked. Always be looking for the next move that will bringing you closer to winning — and ending — the fight.
