Surveillance video captured a broad -daylight assault on a UK parking enforcement officer who was kicked in the head by one of his attackers.
The unnamed officer was writing a ticket when three men approached him two weeks ago, according to The Mirror. One man with a shaved head spat on the ticket, then took the officer’s pen and jabbed it in his face.
Suddenly, one of the men delivered a karate-style kick to the officer’s head, causing him to collapse on the pavement.
“It was horrendous,” said Bob Young, whose cameras captured the incident. “It was just a random attack, there was no reason for it at all.”
The group fled as the officer lay wounded, The Telegraph reported. Several witnesses helped the officer and called an ambulance, which transported him to the hospital for treatment of face and head injuries.
Police are still seeking the suspects. No arrests have been reported.
