Video: Mich. deputy arrests Uber gunman who killed 6 in rampage

Newly released dashcam provides insight into the deputy’s actions that resulted in the active shooter being arrested

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Dash cam released Monday revealed the arrest of a gunman, working as an Uber driver, who went on a shooting rampage that left six dead.

WWMT reported the Feb. 21 arrest of Jason Dalton by Sgt. Jim Harrison provided insight into police action.

“I feel pride knowing that we stopped anything else from happening that night as fast as we were able to,” Harrison told the news site.

Dalton was arrested by Harrison after witness calls to 911 helped locate the gunman. Dalton complied with orders during the arrest.

“One in custody, one weapon off of him,” an officer said in the video.

Dalton was charged with six counts of murder and other felony charges stemming from the shooting spree.
