DENHAM SPRINGS, La. — A police officer succumbed Tuesday to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Monday evening.
According to The Advocate, Officer James Foster was taken off life support at a local hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Foster collided with another vehicle as he responded to the scene of an accident Monday. The vehicle made a left turn in front of the officer, resulting in a crash that threw Foster 80 feet from his motorcycle, according to ODMP.
Officer Foster was 39. The driver involved in the crash was cited for failure to yield, according to the report.
